One-Way Vision Decorative Glass 

Imaging Sciences produces a unique glass and window film that presents an opaque surface or image on one side and just a tint on the opposite (view through) side.  The opaque side can be custom colored or carry a graphic, design, or logo.  We call this technology Vision Control or One Way Vision.  It is mainly used in curtain walls and store fronts but has interior applications as well.  In a curtain wall application it can provide a unique artistic appearance to the building exterior while maintaining clear visibility from the inside.  As an interior wall, it can provide a feeling of privacy in an environment where some visibility into a space is necessary - a hospital or classroom, for example.

While there are several versions of this technology, Imaging Sciences standard (and most popular) uses a .055" dot size with approximately 50% coverage on an inline matrix.  This pattern offers a very nice balance between an opaque surface on the exterior and an un-obscured vision from the interior.  Modifications to the matrix include staggered (verses inline) designs, different patterns, and almost any pigment.  Click here see an example.
